Workshop: Issues of anger and violence

We are holding a workshop looking at anger and violence through the lens of biology, psychology, relationships, society and law. We will be exploring what happens when anger is felt and expressed, why violence can happen, and the consequences and paths forward after both. We will be considering all kinds of violence, which will include domestic and sexual violence.

We always include a theoretical component to these sessions and this time we have chosen to look at elements of psychodynamic theory, and how it relates to anger.

The day will be interactive with lots of practical activities and case study work. We believe in applying theory and technique to yourself in order to develop an understanding of how it might be used with your clients. This means that a lot of our activities are going to be about your own experiences and emotions.

There will also be opportunities to network with other counsellors from a variety of placements and practices and a lovely cold buffet lunch is included in the price.

We are holding two sittings on Saturday 24th September 2022 and Saturday 22nd October 2022. Our workshops are held at Easton on the Hill Village Hall, New Road, Easton on the Hill, PE9 3NN from 10am – 4.00pm (9.30am registration and coffee).

Cost: £70.00 includes refreshments and light lunch.
